Day 01: MEDAN – CITY TOUR – BERASTAGI
Welcome to Medan, upon arrival at Medan Airport, meeting by our guide the proceed for Medan City tour; the capital of the province, a commercial city visiting to the Great Mosque, Sultan’s Palace, which belonged to the royal families of the Malay Tribe, Kesawan old city area and Chinese Temple. Leave for Berastagi, drive continues on the forested foothills of the Bukit Barisan where s-turns provides panoramic view to the delightfully cool and picturesque town of Berastagi with en-route stop at the Nature Reserved, which lies on an escarpment overlooking the lowlands and fruit market selling wonderfully fresh fruits, flower and vegetables. Overnight and dinner at hotel in Berastagi.
Day 02: BERASTAGI – PARAPAT – ISLE OF SAMOSIR / LAKE TOBA (B,L)
After breakfast, proceed driving via the scenic back road across the Karo Plateau that skirts the northeastern edge of the Toba Caldera with stops en-route at Lingga Village to see a glimpse of the way of life the Karo Batak Tribe and their typical houses, Tongging Hill to view the Northern part of Lake Toba and Sipisopiso Waterfall, and also a visit to Permatang Purba to see the long house (Rumah Balon) which was belonged to the royal families of the Simalungun Batak Tribe. Lunch en route, continue scenic drive via panoramic view that follows a forested ridge overlooking the lake to Parapat; a small rocky peninsula jutting into the lake. Cruising on Lake Toba to the central isle of Samosir, overnight t hotel on isle of Samosir.
Day 03: LAKE TOBA EXCURSION (B,L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Cruising on Lake Toba where colorful Toba Batak Villages cling to the shore for a day cruise by boat. Inland, visit to Ambarita Village, which has an archaeologically important meeting place for the King of Siallagan that supposedly served as a kind of hall of justice and Simanindo Village, which is up to the Northern end of the island known as site of some of the best Batak Toba traditional houses particularly that of King Sidauruk, which is now a museum and a chance to watch Toba Batak folk dance performed by the villages. Cruise to Tao Island for a brief respite and lunch, enjoy swim in the tranquil water of Lake Toba. Proceed by boat to Tomok Village. Inland walking on the road lined with souvenir shaped sarcophagus of King Sidabutar surrounded by those of his descendants. Afterwards, cruise back or walking through village to hotel. Overnight at hotel on isle of Samosir.
Day 04: LAKE TOBA – PARAPAT – MEDAN – BAHOROK (B,L)
After breakfast cruising on lake toba returning to Parapat, then continue drive through small town of Pemantang Siantar and vast view of Rubber, cacao and oil palm plantation heading to Medan. Lunch en route, then the road leads west through vast rubber and oil palm plantation to Bukit Lawang; the orang utan rehabilitation center, which was established in 1973 with en-route stop at rubber and oil palm plantation. Upon arrival in Bukit Lawang, crossing the river on a hanging cable plank bridge to the hotel. Overnight at simple accommodation in Bukit Lawang.
Day 05: BUKIT LAWANG / BOHOROK – MEDAN (B,L)
After breakfast start walking along the river crossing by a cable and pulley driven dugout canoe to reach the station of Orang Utan rehabilitation center. A quite steep trail through the forest leads to a feeding platform where the Orang Utan are fed their twice daily ration of bananas and milk. Watch the Orang Utan at the feeding site. Return to the hotel, after a brief respite continue drive on the same road back to Medan. Lunch en-route, arrive in Medan check in Hotel. Overnight at hotel in Medan.
Day 06: MEDAN – JAKARTA BY FLIGHT (B)
Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to airport for flight to Jakarta. Upon arrival at airport Jakarta, meeting our guide from Java, then transfer to hotel. Overnight t hotel in Jakarta. The rest is free at own leisure.
Day 07: JAKARTA – BOGOR – BANDUNG (B)
Breakfast at hotel, start Jakarta city sightseeing with a visit to Sunda Kelapa Old Harbor; the ancient spice-trading harbor, which located at the northern end of Jakarta where the Ciliwung River meets the sea. Next will be Fatahillah Square, used to be the heart of the old Dutch city, where the first City Hall built in 1620 was located, a fine example of Dutch architecture. Take a walk to Wayang Museum (closed on Monday), housed a good collection wayang kulit and wayang golek puppets. Leaving for Bogor via toll way, visit Bogor botanical garden, the world-class botanic gardens, situated just behind the stunning 19th century presidential palace. This botanical garden was official established by the Dutch in 1817 and featuring over 15,000 species of tropical plants from around the world. Within 87 hectares are over 400 palm species, 5,000 trees and orchid house with 3,000 varieties. Drive leads through Puncak-Pass, famous with its spectacular view of tea plantation on the mountain slope, heading to Bandung. Overnight at hotel in Bandung.
Day 08: BANDUNG EXURSION (B)
Breakfast at hotel start the tour with scenic drive through mountain resort Lembang surrounded by flower & vegetable garden, heading to crater of Mt. Tangkuban Perahu situated 1,800 meters above sea level. The winding road going to crater, where you will get the panorama and smell the sulpuric gas from the crater. Enjoy the fresh air, cool climate or walking through souvenir shops along the pathway. Drive down hills passing tea plantation heading to Sari ater, a resort which provides spa health center and hot spring water. Relax or just soak your foot in the hot water pool, which water containing good mineral good for healing some skin problem. Returning to Bandung for visiting Udjok Angklung Orchestra, a traditional bamboo music. Overnight at hotel in Bandung.
Day 09: BANDUNG – NAGA VILLAGE – PANGANDARAN (B)
After breakfast, leaving for Pngandaran Beach Resort Located in the south coast, drive passing through the beautiful scenery of Parahyangan highland, en route stop for visiting Kampung Naga, a traditional Sundanese village located in beautiful valley. This unique community has been keeping their old traditional for centuries, descend more than 300 down stairs to village. Continue to Pangandaran, check in and overnight at hotel in pangandaran.
Day 10: PANGANDARAN EXCURSION (B)
Breakfast at hotel, drive to Cijulang village then continue boating with motorized traditional canoe along Cijualang river to Green Canyon, enjoy the richness of the nature, where lies a beautiful cave. Return to hotel, take Becak tour going around the village. Overnight at hotel in Pangandaran.
Day 11: PANGANDARAN – JOGJAKARTA (B)
After an early breakfast, continue the journey heading to Yogyakarta, drive crossing to Central Java Province, passing view rubber plantation, village and rice field. Stop will be made at the best-preserved ancient monument in the world and listed as the world Wonder Heritage, built between the end of the seventh and beginning of the eight century A.D BY Sailandra Dynasty. Borobudur was for about a century and a half the spriritual centre of Buddhism in Java, then it was lost until its rediscovery in the eighteenth century. Early evening arrival in Yogyakarta, overnight at hotel.
Day 12: YOGYAKARTA CITY TOUR + PRAMBANAN (B)
Breakfast at hotel. A full day tour visiting Sultan’ Palace, where Javanese culture and traditional strongly flourished. Then to the colorful bird market and Tamansari water castle, which was a recreation garden or a resting house for the Sultan and Family as wall well as hiding place for royal family to defend against the enemy assault. Drive to Batik workshops to see processing of making batik and Kota Gede to see the craftsmen demonstrating making their famous and beautiful silverworks. Proceed the trip to visit the largest and most impressive Shiva Temple Complex, called Prambanan Temple which consist of several sanctuaries of Shiva over 200 temples and shrines. The largest, the tallest one well known’ Loro Jongrang’ Tempe is covered with wonderful relief depicting the Ramayana Episodes, another appealing aspect is its glorious symmetry and grace, making it the most elegant and beautiful temple in Java. Return to hotel, overnight.
Day 13: YOGYAKARTA – MALANG (B)
After breakfast, morning departure for a long journey to Malang, leaving Central Java Which is rich in cultural heritage crossing to east Java, land dominated by view of cultivation of many crops. Early evening arrival, check in hotel for overnight.
Day 14: MALANG (B)
Day at leisure with breakfast included. Depart from hotel at noon to explore the area for city sightseeing, provided old buildings from the colonial era, as well as the famous Toko Oen. Return to hotel.
Day 15: MALANG – BROMO – KALIBARU (B)
Wake up midnight after a cup of tea/coffee very early morning drive heading to Tosari village, change with 4 wheel drive going up to Pananjakan the highest view point (2700m) to see the unforgettable sunrise and spectacular view of Mt. Bromo and surroundings (subject to the weather). Drive down hills passing the caldera after horse riding then climbing up to crater of Mt. Bromo though 250 steps. Return to Tosari Village, then proceed to Kalibaru, a little town in East Java which is famous for the coffee and cacao plantation. On arrival, check –in at hotel.
Day 16: KALIBARU – KETAPANG (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Morning departure, on the way plantation tour visiting Cacao, coffee and rubber plantation. Possible to see the factory processing coffee and rubber (subject to season). Return to main road leaving to Ketapang, check in hotel for overnight. The rest is free at own leisure.
Day 17: KALIBARU – KETAPANG (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Ketapang, a city located on Bali Strait. Overnight at hotel in Katapang.
Optional Ijen tour (start Kalibaru – drop at Ketapang)
After an early wake-up call, travel with a four-wheel drive Land – Rover through exotic plantations and dense rainforests to the Park Ranger Station of Mount Ijen in Paltuding. Begin the 1,5 hours hike to Ijen crater along a shady trail with spectacular views. Rest along the rim of the volcanic crater lake at an elevation of 2,883 meters. The sulphuric lake reflects eerie colour over the surrounding walls. Smoke wafting from bright yellow sulphur deposits along the share create a landscape both desolately barren and vibrantly alive. Witness miners descend into the crater and re-emerge carrying up to 80 kilo sulphur ore on bamboo baskets along the 3 kilometers treacherous path. After absorbing this unique scene, walk down the mountain and proceed to your hotel in Ketapang.
Day 18: KETAPANG – LOVINA /BALI (B)
Breakfast at hotel, departure to Ketapang Ferry Harbor, then crossing Bali by Ferry, upon arrival on Bali island continue drive through northern part of Bali heading to Lovina. Overnight at hotel in Lovina, the rest is free at own leisure.
Day 19: LOVINA DOLPHIN TOUR – KINTAMANI – UBUD (B)
Early morning departure (before sunrise) for watching dolphins, return to hotel for breakfast. Afterward continue drive through the old capital city of Singaraja with its colonial architecture, en route visit the unique baroque temple of Beji. Arrive in Kintamani highlands, enjoy the Bali’s most sensational crater rim of mount Batur in which lies the shimmering lake Batur. Continue drive to Ubud, check in Hotel for overnight. Day 20: UBUD – BARONG DANCE – SANUR (B)
Breakfast at hotel, tour start with scenic drive to Batubulan Village, site of the famous Barong dance performance. The dance theme is taken from a basic story about the struggle between good and evil. Proceed to visit Balinese house, get 1 hour massage at spa. Overnight at hotel in Sanur.
