Day 1: Arrival Lombok Airport – Hotel – Free at your own Leisure time
On arrival into Lombok International Airport, you will be met in the arrival hall by our staff and transferred to your accommodation at Senggigi Beach.
Day 2: Fullday Northern Excursion
This tour covers northern Lombok. You will experience the beautiful nature, culture and see how the people have lived in this region for centuries. Start your tour by going along the coastline to Visit Malimbu look out and continue onto Tanjung traditional Market, a colourful local market with locals fruits and food. Our next stop will be Sendang Gile waterfall, 600 meters above sea level, on the foot of Rinjani Mountain. The cool and quite hill will provide a comfortable resting point. The biggest waterfall in Lombok lies 300 meters below. The waterfall irrigates the land with its clear water coming from nature. Visit Senaru Traditional Village, where mountain tribal life and the civilization of past centuries still exist as a part of the nature. Finally, visit Bayan Old Mosque, one of the inestimable historical Islamic heritage sites in Lombok which is believed to have been built upon the Islamic people’s arrival in the 16 century. Overnight at guest house Sembalun Lawang Village.
Day 3: Trek Sembalun Lawang to Camp Pelawangan II
After breakfast, we begin our trek through open grassland to Pos II Tengengean at 1500m, after a further one hour ascent, we commence our steep climb to our camp on the crater rim at Plawangan II (2639M). Walking approx 6-8 hours.
Day 4: Summit Mount Rinjani – Descent To Segara Anak Lake
After an early morning wakeup call at around 3am, we will begin our hike to the summit of Mount Rinjani (3726m). We leave at this time to make sure we arrive at the top before sunrise, not only to experience this spectacular sight but also to have the best chance of getting clear views. It is a 3 hours steady ascent to the summit. From the summit we will watch the spectacular sunrise with views to Bali, Mt Agung and Sumbawa, the crater lake below, and the island of Lombok stretching far below. We return to our camp for a late breakfast and continue our descent to Lake Segara Anak within the crater rim below (2000m). Walking 6-7 hours.
Day 5: Rest Day at Segara Anak Lake
This day has been set aside for a rest day around the Lake. You will have ample time to spend the day exploring, relaxing, swimming in the cool waters of the lake or soaking in the hot, natural springs, believed to have healing powers.
Day 6: To crater rim and descend to Senaru
After breakfast, we ascend to the crater rim at Plawangan 1 (2461m). This is a great place to enjoy the views of the lake from the other side. We then descend the long trail to Senaru Village (610m). We descend through thick tropical forest rich in flora and bird and butterfly life. On the descent if lucky, you may spot the rare black monkey, known locally as Lutung. We arrive at Senaru Village in the late afternoon and spend overnight at local guest house In Senaru Village. Walking time 8-9 hours.
Day 7: Transfer to Gili Air Island
This morning we drive from Senaru to Bangsal and transfer to Gili air by boat. A short walk to our accommodation, then the afternoon at leisure to soak in the ambiance of this lovely little island. Gili Air is one of the three coral-fringed island located of the northwest coast of Lombok, and known collectively as the ‘Gillis’. They all have superb white sandy beaches, clear water brilliantly colored fish and accessible snorkeling and diving.
Day 8: Gili Air Island
Today is at leisure on Gili Air Island. Gili Air is the idyllic white sand island that can easily be walked around in just a few of hours. For the active there are optional activities of diving and snorkeling or you may just wish to find a cosy hammock, relax and watch local life go by.
Day 9: Cultural and Beaches Tour
This morning we will transfer back to the main island and spend the day taking in the sights of Lombok. Lombok is a really diverse island, and during the day we will visit Sukarara, where we will see the various styles of weavings and textiles found on Lombok; the Pura Kalasa Temple in Narmada; Mataram and the beautiful beach at Tanjung Aan. Return to Senggigi.
Day 10: Senggigi – trip Conclude
Following breakfast the trip concludes. Transfers to the airport will be arranged for your outbound flights.
