Day 01: ARRIVAL YOGYAKARTA
Welcome to Yogyakarta, upon arrival at airport meeting by our guide, transfer to hotel for overnight. The rest is free at own leisure.
Day 02: YOGYAKARTA CITY TOUR + PRAMBANAN TEMPLE (B)
Breakfast at hotel. A full day city tour visiting Sultan Palace, where Javanese culture and tradition strongly flourished. Then to the colorful bird market and Tamansari water castle, which was a recreation garden or a resting house for the Sultan and family as wall well as hiding place for royal family to defend against the enemy assault. Drive to Batik workshops to see processing of making batik and Kota Gede to see the craftsmen demonstrating making their famous and beautiful silverworks. Next visit leads to the largest and most impressive Shiva Temple Complex, called Prambanan Temple which consist of several sanctuaries of Shiva over 200 temples and shrines. The largest, the tallest one well known ‘Loro Jongrang’ Temple is covered with wonderful relief depicting the Ramayana episodes, another appealing in Java. Overnight at hotel in Yogyakarta.
Day 03: BOROBUDUR TEMPLE EXCURSION (B)
Breakfast at hotel, depart for visiting the best-preserved ancient monuments in the world and listed as The Word Wonder Heritage, built between the end of the seventh and beginning of the eighth century A.D by Sailandra Dynasty. Borobudur was for about a century and a half the spiritual centre of Buddhism in Java, then it was lost until its rediscovery in the eighteenth century on the way back stop at Candi Pawon and Candi Mendut (Mendut Temple) Located 3 kilometers eastward from Borobudur Temple. The rest is free at own leisure, overnight at hotel in Yogyakarta.
Day 04: YOGYAKARTA – TOSARI (B)
After breakfast morning departure drive to east passing Solo for long journey continues crossing to East Java Province, which is dominated by view of cultivation of many crops. After passing winding mountain road, arrive in late afternoon in Tosari located 1700 m above sea level, check in and overnight at hotel.
Day 05: TOSARI – MT. BROMO – KALIBARU (B)
Wake up midnight after a cup of tea/coffee very early morning drive heading to Tosari Village, change with 4-wheel drive going up to Pananjakan the highest view point (2700m) to see the unforgettable sunrise and spectacular view of MT. Bromo and surroundings (subject to the weather). Drive down hills passing the caldera after horse riding then climbing up to crater of Mt. Bromo though 250 steps. Return to hotel for overnight, then continue to Kalibaru, a little town in East Java which is famous for the for the coffee and cacao plantation. Arrive check in and overnight at hotel. Afternoon a guided walk through mini plantation to see coffee, cacao and tropical spices. The rest is free at own leisure.
Day 06: KALIBARU (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Morning plantation tour visiting cacao, coffee and rubber plantation. Possible to see the factory processing coffee and rubber (subject to season). Return to hotel the rest is free at own leisure.
Day 07: KALIBARU – KETAPANG (B)
Optional Ijen tour (start Kalibaru – drop at Ketapang):
After an early wake-up call, travel with a four-wheel drive Land-Rover through exotic plantations and dense rainforest to the park Ranger Station of Mount Ijen in Paltuding. Begin the 1,5 hours hike to Ijen crater along a shady trail with spectacular views. Rest along the rim of the volcanic crater lake at an elevation of 2,883 meters. The sulphuric lake reflects eerie colour over the surrounding walls. Smoke wafting from bright yellow sulphur deposits along the shore create a landscape both desolately barren and vibranty alive. Witness miners descend into the crater and re-emerge carrying up to 80 kilo sulphur are on bamboo baskets along the 3 kilometers treacherous path. After absorbing this unique scene, walk down the mountain and proceed to your hotel in Ketapang.
Day 08: KETAPANG – BALI (B)
Breakfast at hotel, departure to Ketapang Ferry Harbor, then crossing Bali by ferry, upon arrival on Bali Island continue drive through beautiful view along Bali’s western coast line heading to Denpasar. Transfer to airport or hotel in south Bali. End of service.
